Mark Wahlberg, the well-known actor, recently spoke about how his career affects his family life. He mentioned that being away from his wife and children is the “biggest sacrifice” he faces because of his job.
Wahlberg, who is 54, noted that his kids came to visit him while he was making his new movie, “Play Dirty,” and they also attended the premiere. He told ABC News that it means a lot to him when his family can share those moments with him. He values the time he gets to spend with them, even if it’s just them visiting him on set.
He joked that his kids used to be more interested in his movies when they were younger, especially during his “Transformer” days. Now that they’re older, they don’t find his work as exciting.
Wahlberg has four children with his wife, Rhea Durham: Ella, Michael, Brendan, and Grace. He met Rhea in New York City, and he credits her with helping him become a better man and creating a wonderful life for their family. He said that he trusts her completely and that he wasn’t ready for marriage until he met her.
The “Transformers” star also talked about his commitment to his early morning workouts, which he sees as a way to set a good example for his family. He wakes up at 3 a.m. to exercise because he believes that hard work and discipline are essential for success in both his personal and professional life.
