Hollywood actor Jon Voight has voiced strong concerns about the future of New York City under its newly elected mayor, Zohran Mamdani.
Voight, known for his conservative views, released a video message expressing worries about the direction Mamdani might take the city. He suggested that Mamdani’s policies could threaten the values and principles upon which New York was built.
In his statement, Voight emphasized the importance of protecting individual rights, private property, and businesses. He called on New Yorkers to stand up for the values of the nation. He believes that the new mayor’s leadership could turn New York into a place of darkness.
Voight believes that President Donald Trump is the only one who can stop this “horror” and prevent Mamdani from turning New York into a “socialist” city.
