Vince Neil, the lead singer of Mötley Crüe, has announced that he will be undergoing a necessary medical procedure, which means the band must delay their spring residency in Las Vegas. The update was shared on social media, where Neil expressed his regret for the situation.
“I’m truly sorry to all the Crüeheads who were looking forward to seeing us this Spring,” Neil stated on Instagram. “My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserve, and I can’t wait to return to the stage.” He also thanked fans for their ongoing support, saying it means a lot to him.
Originally, Mötley Crüe’s residency at the Park MGM was set to kick off at the end of March and run until April 19. However, the band has announced that the performance dates have now been pushed to September.
“In light of a medical procedure that has been advised by his doctors, we will be moving our shows,” the band indicated. They are optimistic about Neil’s recovery and are looking forward to hitting the Vegas stage together in September.
In a joint statement, fellow band members Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5 urged fans to wish Vince a swift recovery, showing their support during this challenging time. They are eager to reunite with their audience when the new dates begin on September 12 and continue until October 3.
While details regarding the specific medical procedure have not been disclosed, the postponement comes shortly after a tragic incident involving a private jet owned by Neil, which was part of a fatal crash at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona. Fortunately, Neil was not on board during the event, but he extended his thoughts and prayers to those affected.
With all eyes on his health, fans remain hopeful for a speedy recovery and are looking forward to the band’s return to the stage later this year.
