Vanna White, beloved co-host of “Wheel of Fortune,” recently shared insights into her unique work schedule during an appearance on “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.” White, who has been a staple of the iconic game show for 42 years, clarified that the show does not air live every night, as some fans might think.
In her own words, White revealed, “We film about 34 days a year. That’s it.” This may surprise many, as it means she has about 331 days off each year. However, she quickly added, “But we film six shows a day. Come on. You could feel bad for me,” sparking laughter among the hosts.
Co-host Nate Marino expressed disbelief over her filming schedule, pointing out that her time off is quite significant. “So weird. You have 331 days off a year?” he asked, leaving White and the others laughing at the math.
White, who has dazzled her audience in over 8,000 different dresses throughout her time on the show, emphasized the fun side of her job. Each episode has seen her donning a new outfit, with the tradition initially born out of a commitment to never repeat a dress. Although there was a minor hiccup in 2020 when a dress was mistakenly worn again, extra precautions were taken to avoid such issues in the future.
The game show has seen some changes recently, especially with the departure of longtime host Pat Sajak, who retired last year, making way for Ryan Seacrest. White reassured fans during her interview that Seacrest is doing a great job, admitting, “No one can ever replace Pat Sajak. I’m just here to fill in.”
As the conversation turned to her legacy on the show, fans commented online, celebrating her success and longevity in the television world. With her easy charm and ability to light up the screen, Vanna White continues to be an American icon, further endearing herself to audiences across the nation.
