Two groups of Uber riders in Phoenix had scary experiences last month when their driver started acting strangely.
Yuki Momohara said that on December 19th, she and her boyfriend were in an Uber when she became afraid for her safety. She told AZ Family that the driver was swerving all over the road and almost crashed.
Momohara even took a video that shows the car speeding and nearly hitting barriers. In the video, you can hear Momohara and her boyfriend telling the driver to stop and slow down.
Momohara said she was panicking and didn’t know what was happening. When the car finally stopped, she called 911. She said the driver threatened her boyfriend.
Just minutes later, the same driver picked up another passenger, Eva Carlson. She said the driver was going 100 mph and almost hit another car. Carlson said it was a terrifying situation.
AZ Family says that Uber has removed the driver from their platform.
