Two Boys From Same NYC Housing Complex Reported Missing
The NYPD is investigating the disappearance of two boys from the NYCHA Amsterdam Houses complex on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, occurring about a month apart.
Eleven-year-old Ibrahim Abdul-Halim was last seen on June 5 at his home. His neighbor, 16-year-old Andrew Ahtay, was reported missing on May 5 and remains unaccounted for.
Ibrahim was seen last Thursday around 5:50 p.m. He has brown eyes, short black hair, and stands about 5 feet 1 inch tall. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, checkered gray pants, and colorful sneakers.
Andrew, on the other hand, was last seen leaving his home around 7:10 a.m. He has a thin build, medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. This is the third time Andrew has been reported missing; he was previously reported missing twice in 2020 when he was 10 and 11 years old.
Both boys were last seen within a few blocks of their homes in Amsterdam Houses. As of now, the NYPD has no further updates on their cases, and the search continues.
