President Trump and First Lady Spread Christmas Cheer
Palm Beach, FL – On Christmas Eve, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in the annual NORAD Santa Tracker phone calls, sharing holiday joy with children across the nation. From their Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, the First Family spoke with youngsters about their Christmas wishes and holiday hopes.
President Trump engaged with the children, sharing light-hearted moments. When one child requested a Kindle, the President responded with a compliment, saying, “That’s pretty good. You must be a high-IQ person. We need more high-IQ people in the country.”
Another child from North Carolina was concerned about whether Santa would be upset if she didn’t leave cookies. President Trump reassured her, saying Santa might be a little disappointed but understanding.
In a playful exchange with a child from Kansas who wished for anything but coal, President Trump humorously defended the energy source, reminding everyone of “clean, beautiful coal.” He then quickly turned his attention back to the child’s Christmas desires.
President Trump also expressed his appreciation for the state of Oklahoma, which supported him strongly in the 2024 election. He told the child on the line, “Santa loves Oklahoma like I do. Oklahoma was very good to me in the election. So, I love Oklahoma. Don’t ever leave Oklahoma, OK?”
He also joked about ensuring Santa’s safe arrival, stating “We track Santa all over the world. … We want to make sure that he’s not infiltrated — that we’re not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa,” he said. “We found that Santa is Good!”
The annual NORAD Santa Tracker tradition allows children to follow Santa’s journey around the world on Christmas Eve. President and Mrs. Trump’s participation continued the tradition of spreading holiday cheer and goodwill.
