Windsor Castle, England – President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were the guests of honor at a state banquet held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday evening. The event, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, celebrated the enduring friendship and strong ties between the United States and the United Kingdom.
President Trump expressed his gratitude for the invitation, calling the dinner “one of the highest honors of my life.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff also attended the prestigious event.

“We had a very sick country one year ago, and today, I believe we’re the hottest country anywhere in the world,” President Trump said, highlighting America’s resurgence on the global stage. He also spoke of the special connection between the two countries, stating that they are “like two notes in one chord. Beautiful on its own but meant to be played together.”
President Trump also reminded those in attendance of the many times that both nations came together to defeat tyrants.
King Charles also spoke, acknowledging the close partnership between the United States and the United Kingdom. He recognized the importance of the alliance in addressing global challenges and promoting peace and security.
“It is with great pleasure that my wife and I welcome you to Windsor Castle on this, your second visit, to the United Kingdom,” King Charles stated, adding that President Trump’s visit “reflects the enduring bond between our two great nations. This relationship, which we and our predecessors have long called special.”
He also touched on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, noting that “tyranny once again threatens Europe,” and praising the collaborative efforts to find peaceful solutions to the most difficult conflicts, and to secure the wonders of the nation for future generations, underscoring the importance of clean water, air, and food.
King Charles concluded the evening by offering a formal toast to President Trump, the First Lady, and the American people, wishing them health, prosperity, and happiness.
