President Trump Issues Strong Warning to Hamas
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump has issued a firm warning to Hamas, stating that the United States may be forced to take action if internal violence continues in Gaza.
This warning comes after a ceasefire and hostage agreement between Israel and Hamas went into effect. While initially downplaying some of the internal conflicts, Trump has made it clear that his patience is limited when it comes to violence against rival groups within Gaza.
Trump emphasized the need for Hamas to disarm. He stated that if they fail to do so, the United States may be compelled to take action to disarm them, potentially swiftly and decisively.
The situation in Gaza remains tense, with reports of local groups stepping in to fill the void left by weakened Hamas forces. There are also concerns about the distribution of humanitarian aid, with accusations that some groups are diverting it for profit.
Trump’s ceasefire plan included a deadline for Hamas to hand over all hostages. While that deadline has passed, the agreement stipulates that Hamas should share information about deceased hostages and work towards their return as quickly as possible.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has insisted that Hamas must fulfill all the requirements of the ceasefire agreement, particularly regarding the return of hostages’ bodies. Hamas claims to have honored the terms of the ceasefire and returned the remains of hostages in their possession.
