President Trump recently addressed concerns about his health and energy levels in an interview, revealing details about a medical examination from October.
During the interview, President Trump mentioned he underwent a CT scan during a visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. While he initially regretted the decision due to the public attention it drew, his physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, stated the exam was a routine physical evaluation to ensure continued good health. The doctor added that the scan showed no abnormalities.
The White House Press Secretary emphasized that the President’s team has always been transparent about the advanced imaging and that the President himself is sharing these details openly.
President Trump, who became the oldest person to assume the presidency, has faced questions about his health, especially as he has raised concerns about President Biden’s fitness for office.
In the interview, Trump addressed other health-related issues, including swelling in his ankles and bruising on his hand. He mentioned briefly trying compression socks for the swelling, and the White House explained that the bruising is due to frequent handshaking and aspirin use, which he takes to reduce the risk of heart issues, something he has been doing for 25 years.
He also dismissed claims about falling asleep during meetings, stating that he sometimes rests his eyes. The President emphasized his active schedule and good genes as contributing factors to his energy levels.
