Washington D.C. – President Donald Trump has chosen Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to be the U.S. Special Envoy to Greenland. Trump believes Greenland is very important for America’s safety.
In a message online, President Trump said Governor Landry understands why Greenland matters to our country’s safety. He said Landry will work hard to protect America’s interests and keep our friends around the world safe.
Governor Landry said he is honored to help and that this new role won’t change his job as governor of Louisiana.
Gov. Landry also thanked President Trump, saying he would volunteer to make Greenland a part of the U.S. He also ensured that this role will not affect his position as Governor of Louisiana.

President Trump has said before that he thinks the U.S. should try to buy Greenland. He believes that owning Greenland is important for America’s safety and for freedom around the world.
He also said that Greenland could be a great addition to the U.S. and that we would take care of it and protect it from dangerous things happening in the world.
