In a recent interview, former President Donald Trump suggested that either President Joe Biden or his son, Hunter Biden, may be responsible for leaving behind a bag of cocaine at the White House in July 2023. The revelation came during a discussion with Ben Domenech from The Spectator at the White House.
When asked about the incident, Trump noted, “Either Joe or Hunter,” further emphasizing the possibility of Joe Biden being involved. The cocaine was found on July 2, 2023, in a storage area close to the West Wing entrance, prompting an investigation by the Secret Service. However, the investigation concluded without identifying a suspect.
Trump expressed concern over the incident, highlighting that the area where the cocaine was found is usually filled with fingerprints. He mentioned that the locker appeared to have been wiped clean, lacking the typical evidence one would expect. “When they went to look at it, it was stone cold, wiped dry,” Trump stated, describing the meticulous cleaning of the locker.
The findings are particularly notable given Hunter Biden’s well-documented struggles with substance abuse, which he openly discussed in his memoir, “Beautiful Things.” Although he claims to have been sober since 2019, his past raises questions, especially as he and his family were not at the White House when the cocaine was discovered. They were at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland.
Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced tough questions about the cocaine incident during a press conference. She insisted that the Biden family was not present at the White House at the time, stating, “They were not here. They were at Camp David,” and labeled inquiries linking the family to the cocaine as “incredibly irresponsible.”
Unfortunately, the Secret Service ultimately closed its investigation, citing a lack of leads or physical evidence to identify a suspect. They stated that without any surveillance footage or identifiable evidence, it would be impossible to determine who may have placed the substance there.
As this scandal unfolds, questions remain about accountability and transparency within the administration, especially regarding serious issues like drug use and its presence in the nation’s most important residence.
