President Donald Trump recently announced via Truth Social that Georgia state Senator Brandon Beach has been chosen as the next U.S. Treasurer. Beach, a 63-year-old native of Louisiana, has served as a Republican senator in Georgia since 2013, representing District 21, which includes areas of Cherokee and Fulton counties.
In his post, Trump praised Beach for his contributions to the Republican movement, noting, “Brandon helped us secure a Massive and Historic Victory for our Movement in the Great State of Georgia, and has been doing an incredible job in the Georgia State Senate since 2012. As our next Treasurer, Brandon will uphold the values of Fiscal Responsibility and Economic Growth, helping to unleash America’s Golden Age. Congratulations Brandon!”
Beach has an impressive background, having graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana and Louisiana State University. In 2017, he received the Legislator of the Year Award from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and was honored with the Emerging Leader Award from GOPAC Inc. in April 2023. He is also the president and CEO of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and has been instrumental in overseeing investments that have significantly improved local infrastructure.
In addition to his professional accolades, Beach is actively involved in his community, serving on several boards, including the Regional Business Coalition and the Greater Metro Atlanta American Heart Association. He is a dedicated family man, residing in Alpharetta, Georgia, with his wife, Shuntel, and their two children.
Alongside Beach’s nomination, Trump also announced Brent Bozell as the U.S. Ambassador to South Africa. Bozell, known for founding the Media Research Center, has a long history of advocating for conservative values. Trump expressed confidence in Bozell’s abilities, stating, “Brent brings fearless tenacity, extraordinary experience, and vast knowledge to a nation that desperately needs it. Congratulations Brent!”
