President Trump to Meet with House Republicans After Venezuela Action
Washington, D.C. – President Donald Trump will meet with House Republicans on Tuesday morning. This meeting comes after the U.S. government took action in Venezuela, detaining its leader, Nicolás Maduro.
The President will speak to GOP lawmakers at the Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts. It is not yet known if the speech will be public.
House Republicans will be at the Trump Kennedy Center for a meeting to talk about their plans for 2026.
This meeting happens as House members come back from a two-week break.
It is expected that President Trump will encourage Republicans to stand together on important issues. Some believe that Venezuela will be a key topic.
One source said that President Trump might spend a lot of time talking about Venezuela.
Another source thinks that President Trump will give a speech like he usually does at rallies.
Representative Mike Haridopolos from Florida said he thinks President Trump will mostly talk about Venezuela.
Representative Wesley Hunt from Texas said he thinks President Trump will also talk about the upcoming elections in November.
Representative Hunt said he thinks President Trump will discuss “the good things the government has done, how important it has been, what happened in Caracas recently, and winning the midterms.”
