A British mother has been sentenced to over seven years in prison after it was discovered that she kept her young child hidden in a drawer beneath her bed for the first three years of the child’s life. The identity of the mother has not been disclosed by authorities.
The chilling case came to light last year when the woman’s partner heard the sound of a baby crying inside their home in Cheshire, England. Senior Crown Prosecutor Rachel Worthington explained that the girl, now three years old, had not experienced sunlight or fresh air during her early years.
