A tragic incident occurred in Paris, where a newborn baby died after being allegedly thrown from a hotel window by an 18-year-old American tourist. The events unfolded on February 24 at an Ibis Styles hotel, located in the 20th arrondissement of the city.
According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, the baby fell from the second floor, and despite emergency medical attention, sadly did not survive. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding this case, with a focus on the possibility of homicide involving a minor.
The young mother, who was traveling in Europe with friends, was taken to the hospital for care following the birth. She is currently in police custody, and authorities are investigating whether she may have experienced a denial of pregnancy.
Witnesses reported seeing the baby, still with its umbilical cord, before alerting the authorities around 6 a.m. local time. The infant was rushed to Robert-Debré hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, died shortly after.
The investigation into this heartbreaking situation is ongoing, as officials work to uncover more details about what led to this incident.
