A tragic incident occurred in Ohio when a 1-year-old girl lost her life after being attacked by the family dog. The child, identified as Blakely Blosser, was found with severe bite wounds on her face and throat.
The heartbreaking event took place on July 2. Blakely’s mother called 911 for help, stating that her daughter had been killed by their pet dog. According to Sheriff Orvis Campbell, the mother had defensive wounds, indicating she tried to protect her daughter as they were entering their home.
“It was about as terrible of an ordeal as we’ve come across in a long time,” Sheriff Campbell mentioned. The girl’s father, who was not at home during the attack, later made the decision to euthanize the dog.
Blakely’s obituary shared that she brought joy and light to everyone around her. Described as having bright eyes and a fearless spirit, she loved simple pleasures like playing peek-a-boo, enjoying tractor rides, and even meowing out the window at the family cat.
A GoFundMe page created to support Blakely’s family has raised over $13,000, reflecting the community’s outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
