Main Stage at Tomorrowland Catches Fire, Festival Continues Unharmed
In a surprising turn during the renowned Tomorrowland electronic music festival in Boom, Belgium, the main stage went up in flames on Wednesday, July 16. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as attendees and staff were quickly evacuated away from the dangerous scene.
Footage of the incident, shared by local news outlets, showed the stage engulfed in flames. Despite this setback, festival organizers assured fans that the event would go on as scheduled the following day, July 17.
In a statement on social media, they confirmed, “DreamVille (the campsite) will open as planned and be ready for all visitors. All Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp will proceed without delay.”
The festival’s statement also emphasized their commitment to providing updates as they work through the challenges while prioritizing safety. Police spokesperson Joris Van Camp reiterated this, advising those nearby to close their windows and doors to avoid smoke.
