A woman from Texas has been arrested after allegedly locking a 7-year-old child in a dog cage for several hours during the holiday season, according to police reports.
Authorities state that while the child was confined in the cage, the woman used zip ties to restrain her. She is accused of kicking the child and applying duct tape over the child’s mouth. Reports indicate that the child was left without a bathroom for hours and ended up urinating on herself.
The 55-year-old suspect, identified as Rose Anderson from Houston, appeared in court on December 22. She faces charges of injury to a child and unlawful restraint.
Her bond has been set at $10,000, and she is currently held at Baker Street Jail. Anderson is scheduled to return to court on January 6.
