Three teenage girls are facing serious charges after allegedly attempting to stab their mother over the WiFi being turned off, according to local authorities.
On Monday, March 24, deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at a home in Houston. There, they found a woman who had been assaulted by her three daughters, aged 14, 15, and 16.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the siblings had supposedly made a plan to harm their mother. After she turned off the WiFi, all three girls reportedly grabbed kitchen knives and chased her around the house and out into the street, trying to stab her.
In addition to the knife threats, the mother was also allegedly hit with a brick during the incident. The girls’ grandmother was also knocked over as she attempted to shield her daughter.
Fortunately, both the mother and grandmother did not sustain any serious injuries. The three teenagers were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They have been taken to the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
At this time, it is unclear whether the teens are still in custody, if they have entered pleas, or if they have secured legal representation.
