A recent holiday gathering in Signal Hill, California, turned tragic when a shooting left one young girl dead and several others injured. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred late Saturday evening, December 28.
At around 10:16 PM, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1000 block of Burnett Street. Upon arrival, they found three girls and four boys suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were quickly rushed to nearby hospitals. Sadly, a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead after arriving at one of the hospitals.
The other victims, aged between 17 and 19, survived but suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police confirmed.
Authorities revealed that the shooting took place during a party at the location, and many attendees fled the scene when the shots were fired. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating the incident and has urged anyone with information to come forward. Currently, details regarding any potential suspects have not been released. The investigation is still ongoing.
