Seventeen-Year-Old Charged with Parents’ Murder in Georgia
In a shocking incident in Carroll County, Georgia, a 17-year-old girl named Sarah Grace Patrick has been arrested, suspected of murdering her mother and stepfather. The tragic event took place on February 20, 2025, and the bodies of Kristin Brock, 41, and James Brock, 45, were discovered in their bedroom by their 6-year-old daughter.
On July 8, authorities confirmed that Sarah turned herself in for the crime. A press release explained that both victims died from apparent gunshot wounds. The investigation has involved extensive physical and digital evidence along with numerous interviews, leading to two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault being filed against her.
Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ashley Hulsey described the investigation as relentless and exhaustive, involving both local and federal partnerships. She indicated that Patrick has been charged as an adult, and authorities are still trying to understand the motive behind the alleged actions.
Hulsey mentioned that it remains unclear whether anyone else might have been involved in the crime, suggesting that more arrests could still be possible. She also noted that Patrick called 911 after her little sister found the bodies, referring to the young child as “the saddest victim” in this heartbreaking situation.
The sheriff’s office extended condolences to the families of the victims, especially to the young girl who witnessed this horrific event. Patrick is currently being held on bail as the investigation continues.
