A young girl’s life was cut short in North Carolina just before Christmas, leaving her family and community heartbroken. Jaleeyah Tune, who was only 13, was shot and killed in Goldsboro.
According to reports, Jaleeyah and her sister were walking home when a group of boys suddenly shot at them. Her sister held her as she passed away.
Police have arrested three teenage boys in connection with the shooting. Two are 16 years old, and one is 15. They are all charged with murder and planning the crime together. Because of their age, the police have not released their names.
Jaleeyah’s family remembers her as a fighter who brought joy to everyone she met. She was born early and weighed only two pounds. She came home from the hospital on Christmas Eve. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with funeral costs.
