A young woman is dead after a shooting in Long Island. Police say a 17-year-old boy allegedly shot and killed his ex-girlfriend before shooting himself.
The incident happened at a home in Nesconset, New York. The victim, 18-year-old Emily Finn, died at the scene. The teenage boy was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition.
Police say the boy will be charged with murder. Detectives believe Emily was at the house to return the boy’s belongings after they had broken up.
Emily Finn graduated high school in June. The investigation is still ongoing as police work to understand what happened.
