Colorado Stepfather Sentenced to 80 Years for Horrific Abuse of Stepdaughter
In a deeply disturbing case from Colorado, Brandon Robert Berg, 44, has been sentenced to 80 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually abusing and assaulting his teenage stepdaughter over several years. The abuse reportedly began when the victim was just 15 years old and involved both physical and emotional torment, leaving her with serious psychological scars.
Berg’s defense during the trial was met with disbelief. He claimed that his size and self-proclaimed sexual orientation made him incapable of committing the offenses. Berg argued that his obesity and the supposed small size of his genitals made sexual interaction impossible, a reasoning that was widely dismissed as absurd by those involved in the proceedings.
Investigators began looking into Berg’s actions in 2020 after the victim bravely came forward at the age of 19 to report years of abuse.
