The practice and effort required to regain his edge with coach Cameron McCormick seem less daunting now that he feels healthier. “My wrist feels really good this week, and that gives me the confidence to push myself, something I couldn’t do in the earlier part of the season,” he added.

While he managed to secure a couple of exemptions, he missed out on competing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which disappointed him. He remarked, “I guess I need to play better while injured,” highlighting the pressure under which he operates.
Nonetheless, he took the unexpected week off in stride. “I didn’t earn my spot, so it was easier to watch the event unfold without me,” he explained. The feeling of not advancing through last year’s postseason, however, still weighs on him, especially since it impacts his opportunities for the following season.
