A Sony executive involved in the making of “It Ends With Us” didn’t hold back when discussing Blake Lively, it turns out.
Andrea “Ange” Giannetti admitted she used strong language to describe Lively, as the working relationship between the actress and director Justin Baldoni reportedly went south during filming in 2023. According to documents, Giannetti described a meeting where Lively supposedly laid out a list of demands before agreeing to continue working on the film.
Reportedly, Lively had concerns about Baldoni’s behavior during filming.
Giannetti claimed the list of demands was agreed to because a lot of money had already been spent on the film, and they needed to finish it.
During a deposition, Baldoni’s lawyer asked Giannetti if Blake Lively threatened to leave the movie if her demands weren’t met without changes. Giannetti said that was her understanding.
The lawyer then asked if Giannetti recalled calling Lively a “f—ing terrorist.” She answered, “Yes.”
Much of Giannetti’s deposition focused on Lively’s claims of inappropriate behavior against Baldoni. The Sony executive said she only knew of a few instances that occurred during filming – a video shown to Lively, an encounter inside Lively’s trailer, and comments made to a cast member about her appearance.
Despite Lively calling the behavior inappropriate , the Sony executive didn’t believe it warranted HR intervention.
In her own deposition, Lively talked about a meeting with Baldoni where she brought up the incidents. Baldoni’s lawyer questioned why Lively didn’t call the encounters “harassment” during the meeting, instead calling them “HR claims.”
Lively said she expressed real concern for the things that had occurred, including someone entering her trailer when she was undressed.
Lively accused Baldoni of harrasment while filming “It Ends With Us.” Baldoni insisted Lively had falsely accused him in an attempt to repair her reputation following fallout from the movie’s press tour after she allegedly took control of the film.
His lawsuit has since been dismissed.
