Sonja Morgan Expenses Minor Injuries After Restaurant Incident
Sonja Morgan, known for her role on The Real Housewives of New York City, has recently spoken out about an incident that occurred at a restaurant in Palm Beach, Florida. On May 15, a photo captured her being loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher outside Echo restaurant.
Morgan explained that she had sustained minor injuries while trying to assist an elderly patron who appeared to be in distress. "I called for medical assistance and ended up getting hurt while helping during the situation," she stated. She mentioned that, after discussing it with medical personnel, she decided to go with the EMTs for further checks, stating her gratitude for the quick response and professionalism of the first responders.
According to Palm Beach Police Captain William Rothrock, officers were dispatched to the restaurant at around 9:45 pm due to the medical emergency. They issued a written trespass warning to Morgan at the request of the restaurant’s management, although the circumstances around it remain somewhat unclear. Reports suggest that Morgan did not sign the warning and expressed her insistence on ensuring the elderly person received proper care.
The police department responded to the scene, and the Palm Beach Fire Department confirmed that they treated a patient at the restaurant.
This incident comes shortly after a separate event in New York City, where Morgan allegedly dined at Tucci and reportedly attempted to leave without covering her nearly $1,000 bill. She was said to have insisted that restaurant owners often compensate her for her presence. The owner confirmed that there was no such agreement, citing Morgan’s behavior as consistent with past incidents involving service staff.
As Morgan navigates these situations, it highlights ongoing discussions about respect and accountability within the service industry, emphasizing the need for fair treatment of all involved.
