New York – NBC has announced that “Saturday Night Live” will wrap up its landmark 50th season with a star-studded finale. Actress Scarlett Johansson will take on hosting duties, while musician Bad Bunny will provide entertainment as the musical guest for the May 17 show.
The grand finale has become a highlight in recent years, especially for its final segment of Weekend Update. During this segment, cast members Michael Che and Colin Jost share jokes that are written by one another. Notably, many of the jokes directed at Jost often revolve around his relationship with Johansson, who is also his wife.
The concluding trio of episodes will commence on May 3, featuring Quinta Brunson, the creator and star of “Abbott Elementary,” as host, accompanied by performer Benson Boone. Following that, Walton Goggins, known for his roles in “The White Lotus” and “The Righteous Gemstones,” will host on May 10, with the band Arcade Fire returning for their sixth appearance as musical guests. This mark comes nearly two decades after their first appearance on the show.
This season has captured a lot of attention, and viewers can look forward to a memorable send-off as “SNL” celebrates its five-decade milestone.
