Meri Brown is ushering in a new beginning! The 53-year-old noted a significant change in her life while appearing on a recent episode of Sister Wives. She shared her experience of relocating from Flagstaff, Arizona, to Parowan, Utah, celebrating with a housewarming party at her bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. This joyful event follows the conclusion of her 32-year marriage to Kody Brown.
In a personal moment, Meri expressed her excitement about the housewarming. "It’s awesome to see so many people just want to hang out with me and celebrate this next chapter of my life because that’s totally what this is," she said.
The episode captured scenes of Meri interacting with her guests and giving them a tour of her new home. Reflecting on the journey that brought her to Parowan, Meri mentioned that moving was never meant to be an escape, a narrative that some in her family had suggested. “I know Kody felt like that… But I think the escape plan was that legal divorce. Let’s be real, that was his escape plan,” she stated candidly.
Meri’s split from Kody was made public in January 2023. She and Kody were once part of a plural marriage that included Christine Brown, who left in November 2021, and Janelle Brown, who announced her separation in December 2022. Robyn Brown remains Kody’s only wife from the initial plural family.
Along with her fresh start, Meri is also diving back into the dating scene. During the housewarming, she remarked, “There were no dating prospects at this party. Gosh dang it.” However, she humorously suggested that hosting a “speed dating party” at her inn might be a fun idea.
In an interview conducted last December, Meri opened up about her dating life post-divorce. After a brief relationship earlier in the year, she explained, "Right now, I’m dating, not exclusively… And then, see if it works into something." While she’s exploring her options, Meri emphasized her desire to focus on herself. “I’m learning about myself… Even if it’s just not a funny vibe, nothing’s wrong with a person. It’s just not for me," she noted wisely.
Meri Brown’s journey continues to unfold, and her story resonates as a testament to personal growth and new beginnings. Keep an eye on her adventures as they air on Sister Wives this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
