Shooting Incident at Texas Border Patrol Facility
A tragic shooting took place at a Border Patrol center in McAllen, Texas, where a man opened fire before being confronted by local and federal authorities. The shooter, who was armed with an assault rifle and wearing a tactical vest, was killed during the incident.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the attack occurred at the entrance of the Border Patrol facility. In the firefight, two police officers and one Border Patrol employee were injured, with reports indicating that one suffered a gunshot wound to the knee. All injured personnel were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement later identified the man as 27-year-old Ryan Louis Mosqueda. Following the incident, police searched his vehicle and discovered additional weapons and ammunition, as well as spray-painted writing; however, details about the writing and its connection to the shooting have not been disclosed.
Mosqueda had recently been reported missing from a home located about 18 miles away from the facility. The motive behind this shocking act remains unclear as authorities continue their investigation.
