Shannon Storms Beador Faces New Charges While on Probation for DUI
Shannon Storms Beador, a star from The Real Housewives of Orange County, was pulled over by law enforcement in Orange County, California, on May 21. Court records indicate that she was cited for using her phone while driving. This incident comes as Beador is currently on probation following a DUI case from September 2023.
During the recent traffic stop, Beador, who is 61, received a citation for “driving while operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communications device.” She has until July 11 to pay a fine of $20 for this first-time offense, with higher penalties for any future violations. Although she was cited, she was released at the scene.
Representatives for Beador did not respond to requests for comments regarding the incident.
Beador’s current probation is set to last until November 1, 2026, stemming from an earlier arrest on September 17, 2023. At that time, the Newport Beach Police confirmed that she was arrested after leaving the scene of a collision that caused property damage. Reports indicated that she abandoned her vehicle and was later found walking her dog. Authorities noted that her blood alcohol level was significantly over the legal limit at .24, which is three times the threshold.
As part of her probation agreement, Beador was ordered to pay $390 in fines, complete 40 hours of community service, and participate in a nine-month alcohol treatment program. Her lawyer stated that she felt deep remorse for her actions.
In speaking about her experience, Beador reflected that she recognized the seriousness of her choices. She expressed gratitude for not causing harm to others, acknowledging that she “could have killed someone” with her actions.
The upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Orange County is scheduled to premiere on July 10 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
