She explained that her struggles with dexterity made her realize the need for easy-to-open packaging. “I remember trying to open a water bottle and it hurt really bad before I was on the right medication,” she said. This experience led to the decision to make all Rare Beauty products accessible for those with similar issues.
Gomez’s vision for the brand emphasizes inclusivity, ensuring that anyone with dexterity problems can easily use the products. She proudly shared that even the company’s new perfume, launched in August, features a pump design that anyone can operate, making it easier for users of all ages.
Having launched Rare Beauty in September 2020, the brand has achieved impressive success, reportedly reaching a $2 billion valuation in 2024. The focus on accessible beauty products has garnered positive attention online, highlighting the importance of user-friendly designs.
