Kirk Burrowes, a co-founder of Bad Boy Entertainment, has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging a troubling pattern of sexual abuse and intimidation that lasted over a decade. The legal action was taken on February 28 in New York, with Burrowes claiming that Combs has created a “toxic environment” filled with coercion and psychological manipulation.
Burrowes’ lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, submitted an 18-page complaint detailing years of alleged predatory behavior from Combs. The document outlines claims of repeated sexual harassment and physical aggression, including unwelcome sexual advances that Burrowes believed occurred during professional meetings.
The lawsuit alleges that Combs, 55, has resorted to physical violence and intimidation to exert control over Burrowes, eventually pressuring him to relinquish a 25% share in Bad Boy Entertainment without any compensation.
This is not the first time Burrowes has taken legal action against Combs. He previously filed a lawsuit related to a 1996 incident in 2003, which was dismissed. However, Burrowes’ recent complaint was filed shortly after he accused Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, of unlawfully taking control of his ownership stake, allegedly under threat of violence from Combs.
In response to the allegations, Combs’ legal team called the lawsuit frivolous and suggested that Burrowes is wasting court resources by repeatedly bringing back previously dismissed claims. They emphasized that these issues have faced legal challenges for the past 30 years.
In light of the recent allegations, which are categorized under New York City’s Gender Motivated Violence Act, Burrowes seeks a jury trial and compensation for the physical, emotional, and financial impact of the alleged abuse.
Combs is already facing serious criminal charges related to sex trafficking and other offenses, to which he has pleaded not guilty. Meanwhile, his legal troubles continue to escalate, with Burrowes’ suit adding to a series of accusations involving numerous alleged victims.
The complaint also describes incidents from the 1990s, claiming Combs used intimidation tactics to maintain control, which included coercive behaviors that contributed to a hostile work environment. Burrowes is seeking justice for what he describes as a long history of abuse and intimidation by Combs.
