Representatives from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will hold an informational drop-in meeting on December 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The meeting will take place at Sans Souci Church, located at 3100 Old Buncombe Road in Greenville.
The focus of this meeting is a proposed safety project for Old Buncombe Road. The plan aims to change the current road layout by reducing the number of lanes between West Blue Ridge Drive and Buncombe Road. Instead of having two lanes in each direction, there will be one lane in each direction along with a center turn lane.
The goal of this project is to enhance safety for both drivers and pedestrians in the area. Community members interested in learning more are encouraged to attend the meeting and can also review additional project details on the SCDOT website. Public feedback will be accepted until the end of December.
