RUTHERFORD COUNTY, S.C. – On Friday morning, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office placed two schools on lockdown after responding to an incident on Chase High Road.
Deputies reported that the situation was resolved without any injuries. A suspect was apprehended and is undergoing a medical evaluation.
Chase Middle School and Chase High School had been secured for the safety of students and staff during the investigation, but they have since returned to normal operations.
Authorities confirmed that there is currently no threat to the public.
