Speaking at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Rubio supported President Donald Trump’s vision for transforming the current trade system, stating that America must take action to protect its interests.

Rubio pointed out significant issues with countries like China, which, he argued, do not consume but primarily export goods, thereby distorting the global market. He underscored the importance of establishing a fair trade environment, saying that maintaining the status quo is not an option for America’s future.
In discussing the stock market, Rubio acknowledged that companies relying on production in places like China may face initial difficulties, but he assured that markets would adapt once clear rules are communicated. He believes this restructuring will ultimately lead to a stronger economic foundation for American businesses.
