Prince William, a strong supporter of conservation efforts, recently showed his support for Robert Irwin, son of the famed “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, with a surprise appearance on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Irwin, a dedicated conservationist himself, is competing on the show and had to miss Prince William’s Earthshot Prize event in Rio de Janeiro, where he was scheduled to appear as an ambassador.
Prince William, understanding the commitment, playfully told Irwin that while his “twinkle toes are going off elsewhere,” he was missed at the Earthshot event. He also encouraged Irwin’s dance partner, Witney Carson, to “get him in as much glitter as you can,” showing a lighthearted side.
The Prince of Wales expressed his belief that Irwin and Carson have a “seriously good chance of winning” the competition. Irwin has been an ambassador for the Earthshot Prize, which supports individuals finding solutions to environmental problems, for over a year. This reflects a continued commitment to honoring his father’s legacy through wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.
Irwin and Carson are currently among the final contestants on the show.
