Sylvester Stallone, the star of “Rocky” and “Rambo,” recently shared some thoughts about his family and his early success. In a recent interview, Stallone talked about winning an Oscar for “Rocky” back in 1977. The actor said that while winning was amazing, it also brought him sadness because his parents didn’t come to the award show, even though the movie was up for 10 awards.
Stallone mentioned that when he was growing up, he lived with his father, who he says was tough on him. He believes parents have a big impact on their children, comparing them to “soft clay” that can be easily shaped, for better or worse. He feels that his experiences growing up still affect him today.
In December, Stallone received a Kennedy Center Honor, an award for lifetime artistic achievements. Former President Trump was the one who announced Stallone would receive the honor. Stallone said he was surprised and grateful to receive such recognition.
Other artists who were honored alongside Stallone included country singer George Strait, the rock band KISS, actor Michael Crawford, and singer Gloria Gaynor.
