Richland County Investigates Possible Drugging Cases at Local Sports Bar
Richland County, SC — Authorities are looking into several reports of possible druggings that occurred at a sports bar in the area. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) revealed that the incidents took place at TLC Sports Bar and Grill on Halloween night.
Around 11 PM, a young woman reached out to passing deputies and explained that she and her friend were at the bar when she suspected her friend’s drink may have been tampered with. Emergency services quickly transported the woman to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The next day, another similar report came in at around 2:20 AM from a hospital. A woman there claimed she also believed she had been drugged while visiting TLC Sports Bar and Grill. Additionally, officials noted a comparable incident that occurred on September 13, where another woman reported similar concerns after being taken to the hospital.
Given the similarities in these cases, RCSD is issuing a warning to patrons regarding the potential risk of narcotics being placed into drinks at the bar. Authorities urge everyone to stay vigilant, keep an eye on their drinks, and never leave them unattended. Sheriff Leon Lott emphasized that the women were lucky to have friends who helped them seek help, but he cautioned that the situation could have ended much worse.
