In New York City, three young people were hurt in stabbings on Thursday, December 18. The police are looking into what happened.
The first stabbing happened around 3 p.m. in Brooklyn. A 12-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest at a playground. He was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition but stable. Police have taken two people into custody.
Later, around 5 p.m., two more young people were stabbed in Queens. A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest, and a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the back. Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay. Police are still investigating and haven’t caught anyone yet.
These stabbings happened shortly after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed on a bus in Queens on Tuesday. He is also in stable condition. The person who stabbed him ran away and is still being searched for by police. They were last seen wearing a burgundy jacket, teal sweatpants, black socks, white sneakers, and carrying a black purse.
