Pete Davidson Enters the Tank with DoubleSoul Socks on Shark Tank
In a much-anticipated moment for fans, comedian Pete Davidson is set to make a splash on the upcoming season of Shark Tank. In an exclusive look at the premiere, Davidson joins DoubleSoul founder Ben Rosenbaum to pitch their unique sock brand to the Sharks.
“I was drawn to DoubleSoul when I first received their socks a few years ago,” Davidson says. “Meeting the team made me want to get involved right away.”
As the creative director of DoubleSoul, Davidson and Rosenbaum are asking for $500,000 in exchange for a 4% stake in their company. Davidson introduces the concept to the Sharks, which includes familiar faces like Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, and Kevin O’Leary.
Rosenbaum explains that many sock options on the market feel like a compromise. “Most people just buy socks in bulk without giving much thought to quality,” he remarks. “We’ve combined the best elements of both athletic and novelty socks to create something special for everyday wear.”
Davidson humorously adds, “People often get sock packs filled with regular pairs, but these are different.” His enthusiasm for DoubleSoul’s product shines through as he shares his initial impressions. “I usually give away the promotional items I receive, but these socks made me want to get involved immediately.”
As they prepare to showcase their products to the Sharks, Rosenbaum expresses excitement about the venture. “We’ve picked some great pairs for you to try today. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts.”
Fans will have to tune in on September 24 to see if Davidson and Rosenbaum strike a deal!
Davidson isn’t the first celebrity to take a seat in the Tank. Other stars, including Jimmy Kimmel and Seth MacFarlane, have previously sought investment for their ventures. While some have even brought their families on board, like Rob Gronkowski with his brothers for their product IceShaker.
Stay tuned for the premiere of Shark Tank Season 17 to see how Davidson’s sock pitch turns out!
