The liberal media thinks they can just waltz into any room and demand access. Now, they’re learning the hard way that even the Pentagon isn’t their personal playground anymore.
- Liberal media crybabies.
- New rules enforce order.
- Accountability is coming.
Pentagon Puts Woke Media in Time Out
The Defense Department is standing its ground. They will issue new press passes but move the media offices OUTSIDE the Pentagon, following a judge’s ruling siding with the New York Times in their lawsuit over reporter access. That’s right, the Pentagon is telling the whiners to take a hike.
Hegseth’s Legacy: A Wall Against the Woke
This all stems from a policy change put in place while Pete Hegseth was at the Pentagon. The new rules aimed to bring some much-needed order and accountability to the press corps, but naturally, the left went ballistic. A spokesperson for the Pentagon, Sean Parnell, said they disagree with the court ruling and will appeal.
Under the new rules, reporters will still be able to go to press conferences and do interviews, but they’ll be escorted. Parnell said the new media workspace “will be available when ready,” though he gave no timeline.
The Bigger Picture: Bias and Accountability
This isn’t just about access; it’s about bias. The mainstream media, especially outlets like the New York Times, have shown time and again they can’t be trusted to report fairly on the military or anything else. Remember how they cheered on the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal?
This lawsuit was a desperate attempt to cling to their privileged position and continue pushing their biased narratives. It’s no secret that the current Pentagon press corps is mostly made up of conservative outlets who agreed to the policy. The left wants to shut them down.
The New York Times sued the Pentagon claiming the credentialing policy violates their constitutional rights. Give me a break. Conservatives believe it’s high time the media faced some consequences for their constant misinformation and partisan attacks.
The old rules allowed reporters to wander freely, often using their access to dig for dirt and push their own agendas. That’s why we need transparency.
The AP is also awaiting a ruling in its lawsuit against the Trump administration. They claimed the White House punished them for not following Trump’s lead in renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Sounds like they just didn’t want to do their job.
Isn’t it time we held these supposed journalists to the same standards of accuracy and fairness that we expect from everyone else?
