A pastor from South Carolina is in trouble after being accused of troubling his wife before she died. Mica Miller, 30, was found dead in a park in North Carolina in April 2024, and it was said she took her own life.
But after she died, people started talking about how her husband, John Paul Miller, 46, might have been mistreating her. Now, John Paul is facing federal charges for allegedly stalking Mica.
Officials say that John Paul was sending Mica upsetting messages and even posted a nude picture of her online without her permission.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that John Paul hired someone to watch Mica, possibly to see if she was seeing someone else. But when questioned, John Paul said he hired the person to make sure Mica didn’t buy a gun.
He is also accused of damaging Mica’s car tires. Even though Mica’s death was ruled a suicide, many people want the pastor to be investigated further.
If John Paul is found guilty of cyberstalking, he could spend up to five years in prison. He could also get two years for lying to investigators and a fine of $250,000. His court date is set for January 12, 2026.
