An arrest has been made in connection with the Palisades Fire that happened earlier this year in Los Angeles County. The fire sadly caused the death of 12 people and damaged many homes and businesses.
Law enforcement sources have told news outlets like ABC News, NBC Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Times about the arrest. An official announcement from local and federal authorities is expected soon.
The fire started on January 7. Many people, including some famous faces, had to leave their homes to escape the fire and smoke.
A report from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says that the fire burned over 23,000 acres. The cause of the fire has been under investigation.
NBC Los Angeles mentioned that officials might be looking into whether a small fire, possibly started by fireworks on New Year’s Eve, could have restarted and led to the bigger Palisades Fire.
