An Ohio woman named Mara Silva is in jail after being accused of serious crimes against a young child.
Silva, who is 32 years old and from Liberty Center, Ohio, is charged with endangering a child and rape.
The authorities say that between October 16th and October 29th, Silva had sexual contact with a 6-year-old child.
Silva was arrested on December 20th and is still in jail. Her bail is set at $100,000. She is charged with first-degree rape, which is a serious felony, and child endangerment, which is a less serious misdemeanor.
