A man has been charged with murder after a couple was found dead in their Ohio home.
Monique and Spencer Tepe were discovered shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio, on December 30th. Their two young children were found safe and are now with family.
Michael David McKee was arrested and charged with two counts of murder. He is Monique’s ex-husband.
Police issued a warrant for McKee’s arrest. He was taken into custody and is waiting to be sent back to Franklin County for a hearing.
Spencer’s coworkers became worried when he didn’t show up for work and couldn’t be reached. A friend who called 911 could hear the children crying inside the house.
Police released a video of a person of interest walking near the couple’s home around the time of the killings.
Investigators tracked a car seen near the house to McKee. They found evidence that he had the car before and after the murders.
The coroner said the couple died from gunshot wounds.
The family remembers Spencer and Monique as loving and kind people who built a life together. They said they are heartbroken and want justice for what happened.
