Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Los Angeles home was reportedly burgled on Valentine’s Day. This unfortunate event took place on February 14, with police being called to the scene around 8 PM, according to sources familiar with the investigation.
Though details about how many burglars were involved or what items were taken are still unclear, it has been reported that the thieves broke in by smashing a glass door or window. They then rummaged through the home before fleeing the scene.
At the time of the break-in, Kidman and Urban, who are both 57, were not at home. However, a member of their household staff entered shortly after the burglary began, which scared the intruders and caused them to escape.
As of now, there have been no arrests reported in connection with the burglary. Sources suggest that the couple was likely not specifically targeted, but rather that their house was chosen because of its size and location.
At the time of the incident, the couple was in Las Vegas, where Urban was performing at the Fontainebleau. Urban later shared photos from that night on Instagram, including moments with fans and a personal photo with Kidman, captioning it “Valentines in Vegas.”
This incident adds to a troubling trend, as many celebrities and athletes have recently experienced similar break-ins. Authorities are currently dealing with several related cases and have charged seven men from Chile in connection to a string of these burglaries, alleging that millions in valuables were stolen while the homeowners were away.
