Rep. Nancy Mace from South Carolina recently shared a heated exchange with a voter regarding her upcoming town halls. The conversation took a dramatic turn, with both parties expressing strong emotions.
In a post on social media, Mace recounted the encounter, describing the voter as “unhinged.” She emphasized that she holds town halls every year and accused the voter of harassing her during the exchange. “You’re always invited,” she told him, reiterating her commitment to engaging with constituents.
However, the discussion escalated when the voter prompted her about her stance on issues, particularly gay marriage. Mace defended her voting record, stating she had supported gay marriage twice, which seemed to catch the voter off guard. As tensions rose, Mace referred to the man as “crazy” and asserted, “You people on the left are absolutely crazy. Get out of my face.”
The confrontation reached a boiling point when the voter challenged Mace, claiming she would be voted out soon. Mace stood firm in her convictions, responding with determination and posting about the incident online. “I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me,” she declared.
Mace’s office has not provided further comments on this heated interaction.
