A tragic incident unfolded in Madbury, New Hampshire, where a mother, Emily Long, allegedly took her own life along with her husband, Ryan Long, and their two children, Parker and Ryan, on August 18. Reports indicate that Emily was facing serious allegations of embezzlement against her, having purportedly stolen around $660,000 from her employer over the previous two years.
Emily, 34, was discovered deceased alongside her family members in their home. According to the owner of the chicken wing chain where she worked, the alarming discovery was made when accountants noticed irregularities in bank deposits that led him to contact the police. The owner stated that Emily’s alleged theft began in January 2023 and continued until it was uncovered last month.
In the days leading up to the tragedy, Emily had shared her struggles with depression on TikTok, and her husband was battling brain cancer. Emily described herself as a “Brain Cancer Wife” in her social media bio.
Following the devastating event, the restaurant owner expressed deep concerns for the couple’s surviving toddler, emphasizing that any remaining money should go to him, as he did not deserve the unfortunate situation. New Hampshire authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculating on what led to this heart-wrenching incident, stating that multiple factors may have contributed to the tragedy.
They reminded everyone to avoid jumping to conclusions, as investigations revealed various challenges within the household.
